ABOUT OUR CLUB

Greystone Hunting and Fishing Club was founded in 1949, and is committed to preserving the age old traditions from when it was established over 70 years ago. Located in Lackawaxen Township, within the scenic Pike County of Northeastern Pennsylvania, the property is rich with white-tailed deer, black bear, turkey, bobcat, and many other native wildlife species. We are less than 10 minutes from Lake Wallenpaupack, and own nearly a half-mile of riverfront property along the Lackawaxen. These waters are teeming with fish, perfect for any angler. Our club owns 314 acres of prime hunting grounds, and leases an additional 465 acres. We are surrounded by tens of thousands of acres of State Game-lands, share a border with the prestigious Blooming Grove Hunting and Fishing Club to the East, and are neighbored by Bluestone Hunting Club to the South. This makes for an enormous contiguous block of unbroken forest ideal for wildlife to thrive. At the top of our property is Shimers Mountain, which boasts stunning views for miles. Prior to the purchase of this property in the mid 20th century, the original club members hunted these lands by riding a train from the Scranton area and staying in local boarding houses. They paid local guides 25 cents per hunter, per day. Many of the current members are descendants from the founders.

A year after the club was formed, a modest clubhouse was built. After the original building burned down in the 1970's, it was replaced by a more modern facility equipped with all of the necessary amenities. Club members use the facility for gatherings, meetings, hunting and fishing trips, vacations, and while doing work projects on the property. It truly is a slice of paradise to any outdoorsman.
